Small packages: BIG changes

Our ViSalus order arrived late yesterday! A cardboard box full of nutritional goodness...and hopefully the keys to my weight loss success. Monday begins my official 'challenge' - and I am all in. I will be using all of the ViSalus products during my 90-day challenge period to see what it can do for me. This package is called the "Transformation Kit" and I am hoping, make that expecting, a transformation in myself!

Shane and I started having the Vi-Shape shakes this week as meal replacements, call it a wean-in period if you will, but I want to measure my results based on the full product line. So far, I will say that I have not had coffee all week (amazing if you know me!!) and by day 3, I actually got home from me 12 hour day and didn't need to lie down before I could re-start for my nighttime activities. So, perhaps the shakes alone are starting to make a difference.

I have been a little hungry at night....I am usually really hungry when I get home from work and then we have shakes around 7pm. But I don't go to bed before 11 pm, so by 10'ish, I start to feel a few grumbles! I drink a huge glass of water, and eat a banana if I have to, and hopefully that will start to pass in the next week or so.

I am reading all the product literature now - really trying to learn why the products are supposed to work, and how they are supposed to work. I need to feel comfortable talking about them to all of you guys!

Today is a big day in my family - my sister is getting married! It will be a day with a few indulgences (who can resist wedding cake!!!), but tomorrow I will be on the scale and stripped down to me insecurities as we weigh me in and take my measurements. Wish me luck, and courage, as I am still pledging to post them on here to help you all track my progress weekly.

SHAKE and Bake, baby!!

No such thing as baby steps.

Welcome to SHAKE and Bake with Dana, baby! Some of you may be scratching your heads on that reference, but hopefully a few of you are chuckling. And no, it's not a throw-back to the old "It's Shake and Bake, and I helped" commercial! For me, it's from Talladega Nights - a FAB-ulous catch phrase used in that movie that just so happens to fit nicely with my newest adventure...read on to figure out the connection!

I love vitamins, and herbs, and supplements, and oils, and all things natural....just ask my future step-kids! So when I first heard everyone talking about ViSalus Sciences and the 90-day Challenge, I immediately questioned the nutritional and health aspect of the program. After my first tasting experience and spending two hours talking with my (now) director, I was thrilled to learn about all the natural ingredients - esp. in the NEURO and the Omega Vitals. These products won me over.....after the chocolate banana shake was so yummy!

As a college-educated career business professional, an independent communications consultant AND a small business owner, I also know a good business scenario when I see one. I had already researched the company and the founders, but after hearing about and seeing the full business model, I couldn't see a losing scenario with becoming a distributor. For only a nominal amount over what I was going to spend in products anyhow, I was getting more product AND the opportunity to earn all my money back - at my own pace. PLUS, have the chance to earn my products for free, be eligible for bonuses and possibly a new car.....SIGN ME UP!

I already have too many jobs to count! 4 or 5 at least!! ; have a 1.5 hour commute each way to one of those jobs; custom make jewelry and accessories; run a small business/company out of my home; am a communications consultant/blogger; an occassional professional photographer; have two (soon to be) step-children who are over often and will live with us half-time starting this summer; am planning a wedding/honeymoon/reception-party; and trying to keep my relationship with my fiance FAB-ulous...BUT I still saw where the ViSalus opportunity would be worth a few hours of my limited, and oh-so-precious, time each week.

I am determined to be successful on the products. And to be a walking billboard for our ViSalus business. And to be a damn hot bride come October 10th! SHAKE and Bake, baby!!
